The topic of this e-book is technological issues in long term digital archiving. The technological problems are neither intractable nor completely solved. The articles in this e-book look at specific areas in which current research is active with the goal of giving librarians a more realistic understanding of the state-of-of-the-art for digital archiving and where additional research is desirable.
